19(1)(a)
|
Each licensee, facility director, agency director, family home consultant, care provider, staff member and volunteer of a licensee must behave in a manner that does not harm any child who is attending the child care program, and in particular must not do or permit any of the following: use corporal punishment, including i) striking a child directly or with any physical object, and ii) shaking, shoving, spanking and other forms of aggressive physical conduct.

30A(1)
|
In this Section, "notable situation" means an accident, communicable disease or other situation that affects or could affect the health, safety or well-being of a child in attendance at a child care program, but that does not meet the criteria set out in Section 30B for a serious incident.

30A(2)
|
If a notable situation arises, the facility director or, in a family home child-care program, the care provider must do all of the following: (a) immediately secure any necessary medical assistance and make every effort to notify the parents of any child directly affected; (b) prepare a summary report, which must include all of the following: (i) a summary of the situation and the action taken, (ii) the signature of each staff person or care provider involved, (iii) a place for the signature of the parent of each affected child; (c) place a copy of the summary report prepared under clause (b) in the file of each affected child.
